Since being established in 1929 E. Smith and Son (Building Contractors) has developed through 4 family generations to its current status and is still very much a family business. Having an approximate turnover of £3 million per annum, the company operates within a 40-50 mile radius of the Manchester area.

E. Smith & Son (Building Contractors) was established in 1929 by Edgar Smith. The company continued to prosper under the management of his son Kenneth Smith and following expansion, his son-in-law David Woodward. Today, David's sons have taken significant managerial responsibilities and ensure the continuity of E. Smith & Son's strong family ties and traditions.
